This is 40 [giveaway]

It’s a big month for movies, like the highly anticipated silver screen version of the beloved musical Les Miserables and the epic classic tale of The Hobbit. There’s also the latest masterpiece by Quentin Tarantine, Django Unchained and the newest Tom Cruise caper, Jack Reacher. In the mix of all this major motion picture madness is a clever little comedy called This is 40 starring Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann, reprising their roles of  Pete and Debbie from Knocked Up.

This is 40 movie giveaway

This is 40 is Judd Apatow’s newest comedy that “captures what it takes for one family to flourish in the middle of a lifetime together.” Considering I turned 40 a few months ago and have lived through my own mid-life meltdown I know I’ll be able to relate to this film. The movie poster photo might as well have been taken this morning in my bathroom (though my countertop has a lot more products scattered all over).

Here’s a little clip of the movie.

Doesn’t it look hilarious?

40 is a memory – and just a number. The movie is more about the inevitablity of day to day life than an certain age.

I can’t wait til I turn 40. Everyone dreads it, but really, I can’t think of a better time in my life than now in my 30s. If my 40s are any better than now, bring it!

I had a hard time turning 40 – I thought it would be all downhill from there. I’ll be turning 47 on December 23 and I can definitely say my 40’s have been fabulous. I feel so much more confident and I think I look better than I did at 30.

I’m 3 years away from turning 40 and I’m in denial about it. In my mind I should still be 17 years old.

I’m 1 year and 7 months into my 40’s and I’m still processing it all! I think I’m going to love my 40’s!
